So I got a brand new car in December on leasing ,, Two days later it was damaged in a car park, we came back to find it like that, damage was pretty bad, no note of who did it, hit and run.
I took it into the dealer and they said don't worry, we'll deal with it, insurance, etc etc.. And They did, we got a loan car for 5 days, car returned like new, all good...I didn't see any bills, nothing.
Today I got an email from Allianz insurance saying they have paid 2650 directly to the dealer but I should now contact the dealer to pay them 1000 which was the excess for partial casco .
I actually don't have any policy documents, long story with a change of address but I thought that parking damage and partial casco were different things? Or is it just another name? damage which you did not do yourself? I thought with leasing I had 'everything' insurance, full casco. The office is closed until Monday so just wondering before I call them to discuss.
Is partial insurance even allowed leasing, parking is the same as partial?
PS : Yeah I know, should check etc.. But I just took the leasing package, insurance included..
