I have the Hepatitus B antibody. Apparently, I had Hepatitus sometime around 1986. Why will blood banks not accept my blood?
Post Body
I don't have a lot of details except that when I went to give blood in late 1986, they took my blood and then sent me a letter saying that I had the Hep B antibody and that my blood was not useful to them.
I have the antibody: isn't that a good thing? This means that I can't get Bep B again... it seems like the kind of thing that other people would want in their blood too.
