Why does licking a battery's electrode give it a little bit of power?
Post Body
I've been doing this for years, and I don't really understand how it works (please excuse me, I've forgotten a lot of chemistry/electricity stuff, not my field). When a battery is low, I've always known that licking the electrode will give it a temporary charge, enough usually for me to take a single picture on my camera. I'm curious as to why this is.
