Are Zinc-based Cold Remedies Really Homeopathic?
Post Body

I had heard some news a while back about the demonstrated effectiveness of zinc-based cold remedies like Cold EEZE (and the generic equivalents) at reducing the duration of the common cold. So while I was in the supermarket yesterday, I was almost decided to try them on my oncoming cold. Then I noticed both on the box of Cold EEZE and the generic (which I would have bought) that they claimed to be homeopathic, which triggered an immediate "DON'T BUY" light in my head. Are these products actually homeopathic, in the sense that they are not likely to contain a single molecule of the original substance, or is this just a case of marketing aimed at less skeptical people inadvertently turning away someone who might have otherwise tried the product?
