Do photons accelerate?
Post Body

While discussing indices of refraction today, the obvious question occurred to me. That is, since light travels at different speeds in different media what time and distance is required for photons to change speed when crossing the interface. What is their acceleration? “Instantaneous” is not very satisfying.
