r/askscience panelist AMA requests
Post Body

Many panelists get PMs asking for details abut their work, careers, education and so forth. I propose to start doing panelist AMA posts once per week (we wouldnt want this to take over). Then, we can have a FAQ link where these AMA posts are grouped by field. Curious students could use this page to understand what a given scientists life is like and panelists would have a convenient post to refer the inquisitive to.

If you guys are into this, post a comment below requesting a panelist do an AMA.

It could run in a number of ways. The top requests could be lined up one per week for the next couple of months. Or we could have a day where there were ten going on simultaneously. Other ideas welcome.

This is slightly different from a typical r/askscience post, so discuss if you hate this idea; and mods, please chime in.

Edit- My semicolon (and apostophe) button is broken, so I copied and pasted a semicolon into the previous sentence from shaveras astute comment.
