Can insects have heart attacks?
Post Body
I know that insects don't have hearts like we do. They have open circulatory systems with a main dorsal vessel that pumps hemolymph using muscular contraction.
Presumably this organ can fail. Is it like a heart attack? Would it be caused by the same types of stimuli as vertebrate heart attacks?
