I was reading up on kinetic isotope effects, and upon inspection of the equation to predict KIE's, I could reduce the constants to hc/k. Out of curiosity if this group of constants had a special name, I have discovered that it is called the second radiation constant. I looked into this some and found that it has utility in explaining blackbody radiation. My question is what is the physical significance of the second radiation constant in regards to blackbody radiation and how is this related to the zero point energies of bonds?
