What is it called when people diminish the good in their lives and magnify the bad?

Post Body
I wonder if these concepts have proper psychological terms. I see people displaying this a lot.
diminishing: eg; "I never enjoy anything. Yesterday I had fun when they invited me over, but they were just doing that to be nice, they don't actually like me." or "There's no way that person rated me as a 8, it can't be higher than a 6".
exaggerating: eg; "I failed my exam. I'm always going to fail my exams. I knew I'd be a failure."
