I knew someone with borderline personality disorder. Diagnosed, but untreated. They had a child around the age of six. During the time I knew them, I saw their child starting to show some of the same behaviors as their parent.

I've heard sometimes that mental disorders can be inherited. I was wondering how much of that is true. I also wonder how much people are diagnosed with something, that might actually be learned behavior during childhood.
