Can emotional dysregulation in ADHD be internal instead of external?

Post Body

I read that emotional dysregulation is often present in ADHD. However, I couldn't find many sources that speak on this in detail, and the few sources I found were talking about it as being an external response.

For certain individuals, can this emotional dysregulaiton be an internal response (i.e. the person keeps the intense feelings to themselves and struggles inside their head) without showing an external reaction?
