I'm thinking about getting my own soon, but I don't have a lot of experience with them. I know that you have to be extra careful when handling tarantulas because a fall is most likely deadly, I'm looking for something a bit hardier because I don't want that to happen and I am too afraid of a skittery critter just accidentally leaping out of the safety of my hands, I also would like to handle my critter at least somewhat regularly without stressing it out. Maybe some of you seasoned keepers can help me decide through showing me your collection, how to handle them properly or sharing your experiences? The bigger the bug/arachnid, the better! I'd like a few different species, like madagascar hissing roaches, a giant millipede of some sort or a false scorpion.

Also, where do you get yours from? I'd be too afraid of having it shipped and ending up with a DOA with some of the random not very well put together sites I've found them on.
