Are there any workplaces in Portland that specifically hire disabled people and understand their needs? WFH/sitting jobs perhaps?

Post Body

I'm blind and also have mobility issues, I can't work a normal job like other people can. It doesn't mean I don't want to work, but no one wants to hire someone unless they can stand on their feet all day and lift 40 pounds. I suppose I could work a office job, but I use a lot of mods on my own computer to help me see things that I don't think most employers have on hand (specifically a mod to inverse the contrast so it's white text on black background). I currently work a pretty intense waste management job, and I can only do it because my shifts are only 2 hours a day, but it doesn't pay nearly enough with those kind of hours, and even if I got more hours a day, I couldn't work them because there is a lot of standing, bending over, walking and heavy lifting and by the time my shift ends, I'm in so much pain that I don't even know how I made it home half the time. Never mind the fact that I have to be extra careful because I deal with used syringes and other pokey objects often (but I haven't been jabbed yet!).

Also, no one wants to hire someone that doesn't have experience, but I don't know how I'm supposed to get experience when no one wants to hire me. I'm willing to do anything that involves sitting, or at least taking frequent sitting breaks. All I know is even with disability, even with this part time job, it's still not enough to really survive on here. I'm a fast learner, I show up on time for work, I just have the body of a 70 yo. and practically no experience.
