How to rent a house in Portland?
Post Body

Thinking about renting out my house down the line…

We bought when interest rates were down and since they’ve only gone up since then, I think the value of our house has actually declined since we bought (lower price to offset the mortgage rates). Because of that we’re thinking maybe renting out the house in the next year or two (as opposed to selling at a risk of a loss).

I’ll also add as of now we are thinking of staying in Portland, just moving to another neighborhood/bigger house to accommodate an additional kid.

Wondering if any folks have had experience doing this?

Is there a local rental company you worked with? Any recommendations? What types of fees are we talking about? Is it better to do it privately just maybe with an acquaintance who might be looking?
