Greetings,
I've been exploring opportunities to pick up some extra work on weekends alongside my full-time IT job. The goal is to cover some unplanned bills and holiday shopping expenses.
So far, I've applied to several places, but my limited availability—weekends only (and potentially Fridays if I transition to four 10-hour shifts in my primary job)—has been a challenge. When I've called around most employers are looking for candidates with broader availability.
Here’s where I’ve applied so far: Fred Meyer Auto parts stores Home Depot Lowe's
I’m also considering freelance work as an option, but I’m hesitant about the additional complexity involved, such as setting up an LLC, drafting contracts, and handling hold harmless waivers.
I’d appreciate any advice or recommendations on part-time weekend work, or insights on navigating the freelance route without taking on too much administrative overhead for something temporary.
My vehicle isn't suitable for Uber/lift as Tacomas are neither comfortable nor fuel efficient and GrubHub like gigs often require you to park illegally from what I've seen.
Thanks in advance.
