I moved here from Washington and have a valid driver's license. I'm trying to get my Oregon license. I haven't really driven much for the last few years and don't have a car, but I've seen a requirement for an Oregon state driver's license on a few jobs and might as well get it set up now so I don't have to stress about it down the line when I do end up getting a card. Initially, I saw that my knowledge/driving test would most likely be waived, but now that I've actually made an appointment to get the license, it says that I need to take both a knowledge test and a driving test. To be honest, I haven't driven in an entire year and I am not going to pass a driving test if it's the first time I'm behind a wheel in that long.
For those of you who went to get an Oregon license with a valid out-of-state license, did your appointment info online say you'd have to take a test? If so, did you have to? Or do they waive it once they confirm you have a valid license?
Edit to add: the "preapplication information" document sent to my email is where I'm seeing the requirement for both tests
