I'm about to move to Portland and the one thing I'm gonna miss from where I am now is a local animal rescue that allows visitors to come into one big room and play with all of their dogs. My current circumstances make it a bad time for me to have a dog of my own, so I fear I may be deprived of dog time when I get to Portland. In my experience, shelters typically don't have things set up for random people to just come in and play with the dogs, so I'm not sure if there's anywhere in Portland where I can do something similar. I've done some dog walking through Rover before but it's so oversaturated that it's not really a reliable method of getting some dog time.
Any suggestions are appreciated (and I guess if you need a dog walker in NW Portland starting this summer.....let me know)!
