Anyone live at or near the gossamer?

Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone lives at or near the gossamer in downtown. I have some questions about the area. How bad is street parking overnight? Is it really as bad as everyone says? What about safety walking in the area. I have a dog and will have to take him for walks at night. Also I was really looking forward to using public transportation and upon doing research in finding out that might not be such a good idea especially at night. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
