Hey all,
As the title says, I'm a filmmaker looking to broaden my knowledge to be able to write more interesting and enlightened work.
I've read many interviews with successful writer/directors and they all seem to cite philosophy as a great influence on their work.
I guess my question is where do I start? The immense amount of work gives me anxiety. I have no clue where to start. Please help!
EDIT: I've been doing a bit of searching and I found something that related to a project I had an idea for awhile back. It was about mankind's search for meaning in vast meaninglessness. I believe it was talking about the concept of nhlistic enigma.
Does anyone here have any suggestions on where I should start? I know Lovecraft's work covers this theme, but I wanted to go deeper. Who inspired Lovecraft? I'm dying to learn.
Thanks in advance,
MJC
