Has anyone addressed the implications of compatibilism for neurodivergent people?
Post Body

As in, does it follow that someone with ADHD is morally responsible for being lazy and short-sighted? Or someone with depression for wasting their time lying in bed all day? Sure, itโ€™s determined by their brain chemistry, but so is everything anyone ever does, and some of us must be morally responsible.

As you can probably guess, this isnโ€™t a purely abstract problem for me. While I can and have accepted the unpalatable implications in my own case, I find it a lot harder to stomach the prospect of applying that logic to other people. Has anyone found a way out of that dilemma, or for that matter addressed it at all?
