Hello, r/askphilosophy. I am an architecture major with a keen interest in philosophy and its possible application to my daily life and practice. I recently decided to start reading more books. But, I often struggle to comprehend certain terms and concepts while reading philosophical works (probably due to a lack of reading in the past). Can you provide any suggestions, precursor readings, or tips and tricks that could help me better understand specific ideas?
Right now, I'm trying to read books like The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard,Architecture of the City by Aldo Rossi, and also works on phenomenology in architecture.
Thank You!
