I was thinking about how every cause seems to have an effect. I KNOW this is explicitly true in the laws of motion and physics but what I am noticing is less literal. Every medicine we put in our body can have side effects. Every decision has ramifications for our future. Every chemical reaction exists for a mixture of more than one chemical. Lastly (and most importantly) every technology we create has unforeseen implications that develop as it matures and spreads.
Is there anything in the universe that doesn’t affect anything else? A seemingly neutral “thing” that exists in stasis and effects nothing else?
