Do Marxists/Lacanians seen to abolish all human contradictions?
Post Body

I'm trying to get into Marx and Lacan, and my understanding of historical materialism is shaky. To my understanding, every thing or notion of a thing arises as a distinct identity in opposition to its own opposite. This can be observed in matter, and in ideas, which then go on to influence each other and create both material and social change.

In advising for communism, does Marx advocate for the abolition of heirarchy in a utopian sense? Or just the abolition of social heirarchies? Man and woman can be considered to be defined in position to each other, not because of their genitalia but by patriarchy and agriculture. The notion of a man or woman need not exist.

I'm pretty sure I have that wrong. Also I'm not referring to Marxism-Leninism here, strictly orthodox Marxism.
