How to input sec^2(π/4) on the calculator?
Post Body
On a test, I used 1/cos (π/4)2 as a part of the solution but my prof marked this specific section as wrong. What would be the correct way to do it?
for more info, the original problem was to get the slope of f(x)=6cosx - tanx at x=π/45 and π/6.
For f'(x), I got -6sinx - sec2x
(-6)(sin (π/4)) - (sec^2(π/4))
(-0.0822) - (1/(cos (π/4)^2)
(-0.0822) - (1.0001)
Final answer: m= -1.0822.
