Is there a way to solve this analytically?

Post Body
This was part of a Calc 2 problem that asked for the distance between posts so that the height of the lowest point of a wire between them was some value. We couldn’t figure out how to do it algebraically so we had to plug it into GeoGebra to get some approximation. Is it possible to solve it analytically? If not, can we prove it?
