Please explain to me step by step how to get to the solution of the following equation.

Hello.
I'm trying to figure out the solution process to the following equation.
this is Fibonacci sequence function but trying to find n isntead of F(n)
F(n) = ( f^n - (1-f)^n ) / sqrt(5)
1.61803^n 0.61803^n = 46.95742
Solving for n, which produces 8 ..
Could someone break down solution to this equation step by step please.
