Collective notation for variables a,b
Post Body

Sorry, exceedingly stupid question but googles not helping.

I read in a book (theoretical minimum: classical mechanics) that for a function of variables x,y,z the collective notation for x,y,z is x(i) (that i is a subscript) so for a function of a,b would the notation for a,b collectively be a(i) or still x(i)

Side note: maths needs more letters
