my tutor showed me this solution in our last lesson and looking back at it, i can't understand anything.

the limit in the first line is the problem's given info, and you use it to find the limit in the second line.

she uses this weird methodology where she supposes a variable u=3x-1 and does some weird swap arounds. i can't even describe it cuz i don't understand why or how she uses it.

if someone can give a small step by step guide i would appreciate it SO so much.
