The following image shows the question I am trying to answer
Question 1: What does the highlighted portion mean, I understand what is being shown is an odd function like x^3. But does real-valued function of one real variable V mean that it can only take one variable (like x^3, but not (x y)^3, where x is in V)
Question 2: Are the following sufficient to show that it is a subspace of (vector?) space V. I am following the same three axioms that need to be proved if O was a vector
