Looking to do a side hustle, how do I find out the exact profit I'd make from it?

I am thinking of doing a side hustle and would like to know how I could avoid wasting money (i.e. breakeven point profit). Obviously I know I would have to deduct a certain amount for taxes and there would be an overhead fee depending on the business (Rover, Uber, etc.). I want to make sure I am not taking on jobs that would be losing me money but I'd like to know an exact equation I could use to figure that out for each gig.
