Cannabis and certain jobs

I found this job online that I think I’m qualified for but they have a question in there about cannabis/ cbd oil usage. I haven’t used cannabis related products in months but I was wondering if there’s a way for the company to get access to dispensary records . Would they know that I lied ? I didn’t send in the application because I’m paranoid as hell but it sucks that some jobs can’t be more cannabis friendly . They’re missing out on a potential employee.
