We hear about "nice guys" and incels in the straight community. Is there gay equivalent? And what advice would you give them?

Post Body
So I don't fully understand what make someone a nice guy or an incel, maybe it's not as common in the gay world.
I've just been reading a topic with women compiling about them in r/socialskills. Seems they just jump from not knowing to "I want to sleep with you" in a matter of minutes, what comes across creepy, is this it?
And is there a gay equivalent? How would you date correctly in the gay world, given we are more sexually open than straight people?
