Decided to install Grindr again out of curiosity, just to see what kind of guys are on there and if things have improved in my region (they haven't). Didn't bother putting up any info or pics, I just wanted to shamelessly browse the app. To my surprise though, I got quite a few messages and taps from different guys, and only one of them seemed to be a scam.

Why is this? I have a blank profile with zero info besides my age, initials, and location. What would compell someone to actually message me? I mean some of the profiles were blank, but others had a decent amount of pics and profile information.

Are things so desperate in my area that people will resort to hitting up the blankest of profiles? Or is this just normal behaviour on Grindr? Been a while since I last used the app, but back then I had a profile with info and pics.
