Heartbreaking sucks. What’s your way of coping with it?

Post Body

As the title says, I was rejected last weekend by a date and we had spent some incredible time together. I usually would shut down my feelings and let time heal everything, but this time I reached out to friends, shed some tears, and faced the issue quite bravely :)

But it continues to bother me, like a sting that I couldn’t easily get rid of. Distraction would usually work for me, but it still haunts.

Always thought of myself as a self-aware person, but I could need a little inspiration on this from y’all :) How do you cope with heartbroken moments in dating/your relationships? How do you process past experiences, acknowledge and appreciate them or spend as little time dwelling on them as possible?
