Hey guys. Sorry for the long post but I don't really have a lot of friends who would "get it", yknow?

So; im 27. Had a few girlfriends when I was younger, unfortunately never had a boyfriend yet. Been "out" for about 6 or 7 years now; but due to some trauma when I was a kid, I've always had a bit of a difficulty trusting and forming relationships with other men, be it as friends, coworkers, etc.. I know right; not a great recipe for a healthy dating life 😂 but it's something I've been working hard on improving, and it's getting better. Baby steps, right?

So; I met a guy on grindr (shocker I know 😮) and we go for coffee; and it went GREAT. We were into the same stuff hobby-wise (I'm a big car guy and a hunter/Fishman; rare thing in the gay community apparently), we worked in very similar fields in the trades, and just all round hit it off really well. When we leave, he tells me he wants to see me again, and I smiled and said i definitely did too. We exchanged numbers and ended up talking like 24/7..

Over the course of the next 7 or 8 months, We went on a few dates; at least 2-3 nights a week he'd come pick me up and we'd do something like just go for random drives and talk; or go to his place and fool around/cuddle and fall asleep watching TV.... eventually I realized "holy shit; I think I actually like this guy, he's super nice to me and for the first time I actually feel 100% safe and relaxed when I'm with him.... wow :o ".

Then one Friday a few weeks ago and texts me "hey; im going to my parents for the weekend, but you should come over on Sunday and spend the night". I said sure; I can't wait.

Sunday comes and I don't hear from him all day; stops answering my messages. I go to message him on Facebook- I'm blocked. Ouch. Not gonna lie, I was pretty gutted. 😞

That was about a month ago since I heard from him. I don't really know what I expect anyone to say, I know this kind of thing happens but man it sucks. Considering it was my first time ever letting myself get close and open up emotionally to another guy, it certainly kicked me right in the confidence, I'll tell you that.🤦‍♂️
