anyone ever use expired lube for like jerking off?

I found a bottle of walgreens water based lube in the back of my drawer that i think i bought like four years ago and somehow forgot about...ive only used it like twice I think when I bought it on a trip...interwebs seems to suggest prob not a good idea for sex but what about just jerking off? Seems like a waste to throw away an almost full bottle.
I also dont know the exact expiration date but i'm assuming its expired by now?
