I want to settle before 30, does this make me desperate?

Post Body

Currently, I am 21 years old living in Michigan. I have been out since I was 11 (which I know is quite young), have traveled to 23 countries, have a handful of great friends (both gay and stright). My parents are accepting and I have an amazing relationship with my mom which has helped me since it wasn't always that way with my dad. I would give my life a 7/10.

The only thing I find in my life that upsets me is I have never had a boyfriend. Ever.

I have hooked up dozens of times and have met a few really good-looking guys but find that I could never see myself dating anyone (yet).

There is however a guy I met in Tokyo who I click with before the pandemic. He is from France and in his mid-30s so it would be unlikely to date anytime soon because of obvious reasons. We chat on Facebook every now and then and I think we might meet in Hawaii one day and hang out again. He was the only person who I felt organic talking to and I feel nosologic thinking about. He was also super handsome and buff which is my type.

My "realistic dream" is to live in a bigger city (not too big but not deer shit Michigan suburbs), buy a condo, cook, and have a nice partner with who I can feel comfortable around. I know you cant push this in life but I sometimes feel as time passes, with graduating I and start working life will somehow fall into place.

If you want my "true dream" that would just be everything I mentioned with being rich and helping people. Like a more humanitarian Paris Hilton.
