I have shitty hair. It's dry, coarse, wavy (but not in a good way), I have a few cowlicks, and one side my hair grows downwards and on the other backwards. My hairline looks uneven (due to one particularly bad cowlick), and my forehead looks huge. I also get really bad dandruff during the colder months. The only way I can get my hair to look good is by keeping it quite short and by using clay/pomade.
I've been pondering just going for the shaved look full time. I shaved it twice during lockdown and actually got quite a few compliments. Most of them were from my friends (who are primarily straight) saying I looked badass, probably because I kept my beard. I've also been wondering whether I should go for scalp micropigmentation just to lower and fix my hairline a bit. I don't think I have to worry about going bald as neither my dad or grandparents are bald, but I do feel like my hairline is receding quite a bit.
My question is how are guys with shaved heads / buzzcuts viewed? Do you consider it an attractive look? I realize that handsome guys can pull off nearly any haircut, but on average is it seen as attractive? I wish I could keep my hair long, as I think that's generally considered more appealing, but I feel like mine's so high maintenance...
So how are we feeling about guys with shaved heads / buzzcuts?
