Just bought a douche bottle

So I bought my first douche bottle so I can "prepare" for some fun. Unfortunately, the instructions are pretty generic in order for all the companies toys. So I was wondering if using normal water is okay? Should it be soapy? Do I need to boil first to disinfect the water? Appreciate any tips .
