Anyone else watch gay movies/TV shows only to end up feeling like shit afterwards?

Just finished watching Looking series movie, not the first time this happens with gay themed entertainment but I just feel so fucked up afterwards. I yearn for more gay entertainment and things I can relate to but damn I feel like shit afterwards. Comparing situations or remembering being in similar situations, never having the happy ending.
