I want to start by saying that I am not in my feelings because I’m lonely or anything like that.

I have a young gay friend on Facebook. I’m 21 and he is like 17-16 he made a post about wanting a valentine and, I just reminded me that a lot of kids don’t have accepting families and can’t come out they want to have the be able to do the same things as their straight peers. We also lack acceptable and positive gay role model couples on tv and film that show what a healthy gay relationship can be or is. To all the queer teenagers reading this and wanting a valentine day but probably won’t have one... you will find someone in the future that is going to buy you a gigantic stuffed animal and chocolates and is going to love you for who you are flaws and all it gets better most of the time remember that.

pS not sure if my post makes a lot of sense ( I remember having a boyfriend in high school and we went to the movies a week before Valentine’s Day and watched warm bodies he was closeted and I was out to friends but not my family and I was ecstatic) but, I feel for all the teens that want to experience those things that other normal kids do. I resent not being able to go to prom or have a date and little things like that I understand not when one is the same or agrees with my opinion but anyways
