Is it ok for parents to tell their children to suppress gayness in order to be safe.
Post Body
I didn't know the best way to word this but do you think it is acceptable for a parent to tell their child to tone it down, out of fear of them being judged especially when they're at an age where they cant defend themselves or really introverted. OR in a place or environment with widespread homophobia such as some third world countries and historically homophobic places like Jamaica. Is it selfish and restricting or do you feel like this can be said from a place of genuine concern.
