I was texting this guy and we exchanged photos and had a convo but he said he wouldn’t be on the app and wanted to text. My dumbest decision ever was to give him my number. It was late and I wasn’t thinking straight. I woke up to a text of him saying good morning and that he was horny so I said good morning back and started having small conversations. He switched up and said he was not who I thought he was and sent me screenshots of my address and the contact info of my neighbors and parents. He was demanding $500 and he’ll delete but if I resisted he would start to expose me to those contacts. I slowed down the process by sending him $90 that was in my Apple Cash and immediately called 911 to report a sextortion crime. They informed me not to send anything else and to block him. It was a stupid decision to send my number. I was in the mood to chat, but now I’m scarred and deleted the app and no longer trust people….I just need some emotional support right now because I’m distraught.
