What is it with people requesting your pics but won't share their's?

It happened again today. Nice chat online and getting sexy. He asks for my pics. I send him my nudes and he likes them. But when I ask him to send his, he refuses. Duh. If I ask someone for his pic and he does, and then he asks for mine, I definitely will send them, out of respect - even if he is not my type and I am not interested in pursuing this further. Just trying to understand
