Hi everyone, so I’m 26 years old and living in the upper Midwest in the US. I’ve decided one of my goals for 2025 is to put myself out there more and hopefully make more gay friends (most of my friends currently are from college and are straight). Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to meet new gay people besides through hookups? I’d also love to be able to meet and talk to other gays in a friendly environment that isn’t focused around alcohol (I only drink very occasionally). Is my best option to try downloading dating apps but make it clear I’m only looking for friends? My city has a couple gay sports leagues that I’ve tried in the past, but everyone was always drunk and my entire team was hooking up with each other 😭
