I don't really get it. I'm on 100mg sertraline and 300mg bupropion xl daily for anxiety and depression. Sometimes I can go three or four rounds and finish every time. Other days one and some days absolutely zero unless I jerk off. I can always finish then.

This happened today when I was hooking up with a fwb. I kept getting close... so close that I could feel my body tightening up, legs and arms shaking, and could barely get a deep breath. It felt like I was about to explode. I was getting so sensitive down there I had to tell him to stop jerking me. It felt like I was right along that edge but couldn't actually cross that line. It felt like something was mentally stopping me.

Afterwards, I remembered I took my meds about an hour before he arrived. I know that sertraline can cause issues and I'm guessing it's a timing thing too. I've definitely taken it and later on had sex and could finish no problem. I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't wean down off of the sertraline (of course I won't do that until speaking to my doctor) and just stay on the bupropion. It feels like it's had an overall better effect on my depression than sertraline has.

I guess the biggest question I have is if anyone has had similar experiences while being on one or both of these medications and how did you handle it? My other question pertains to the experience I was feeling when it felt like I was going to explode. Would that be considered along the lines of a dry orgasm? You finish but nothing comes out. I've experienced this before a few times and it's kinda embarrassing (even though it shouldn't be). Every partner I've experienced this with has been very understanding except one guy who didn't understand it but didn't cast judgement. I don't really want it to be a total tossup to see if I'm going to finish or not every time I have sex.

Any advice or anecdotes or experiences with this would be great to hear!
