How to spot the difference?

How do you tell a bi man who wants relationships with men vs. DL men with girlfriends, who only have sex with men, due to internalized homophobia?
I've had interactions with both and still can't tell the difference.
I'm trying to save myself the heartbreak.
I'm more interested in relationships, so someone who sleeps around is just going to waste my time (yes, me specifically).
But there's someone out there for everyone.
