I think until a couple years ago, m4m had to be clear of any new male sex partners for at least 3 months? Or maybe even if in a monogomous relationship, no gay sex for 3 months?
I can't recall.
But I'm donating blood this morning.
I think my last sex, a trick, was 2.5 or 3 months ago.
This timeframe nowadays should allow me to donate?
Actually, it's not for The American Red Cross, where I donated a few times in the pandemic. And Red Cross does not pay people to donate.
Where I'm going today, it's $25 cash, then if my blood is accepted, $50 for a donation in a few days. Then can't donate for 56 days, I think.
I think the blood will be for research, not for people? Maybe that's why I'll get money; they didn't have a questionnaire online or on the phone to screen for "us gays," unlike the Red Cross.
Hmmm...I never knew one could get paid to donate blood, unlike donating plasma. I did an online search for paid blood donations, and it was listed.
So maybe at this center, I won't be asked all those questions which Red Cross asks in advance, as I think it'll be used for some other mission than humans. I'm sure they would have pre-screened me on the phone call, anyway, so as not to waste our time.
Just need to bring proof of identity.
