So about a year ago I contracted HPV, I was unlucky and developed anal warts. It sent me into a really deep depression, I feel dirty all the time and undesirable.

I went to see my local gp about it shortly after it had appeared and they suggested cream and cryo. I’ve been using the cream and it’s helped a bit but I know that surgery is more than likely gonna have to happen. They told me it would be a 2 year wait for the surgery and it wasn’t covered.

I finally feel like getting it addressed now that my mental health is doing better but I’m not sure what to do, the idea of waiting 2 more years for surgery without being about to have sex makes me want to die. The gp didn’t look anything up when she said how long the wait was so idk if she was right about it. I don’t know where else to go to get this sorted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated please!
