I donated blood 3 or 4 times total in 2021-2023. But no financial compensation, as I think per Red Cross policy.
I need some cash now, so I'm thinking of donating plasma...for money. I registered with a place online and I'll go in this week to see if I qualify.
But it seems high blood pressure could disqualify one for plasma donations? I have meds,so it's under control. Having blood pressure meds never seemed an issue for blood donations, I guess as long as when they checked that day that my readings were normal.
And it appears the fact I had hepatitis in 1979, not sure if A or B, could disqualify me for plasma but not blood donations? That never seemed an issue with blood donations.
Requirements are a bit different for blood vs. plasma?
Since I am a bear, supposedly that extra weight will prove useful and pay more for a plasma donation.
Changing topics...I read that a bone marrow donation can be a bit painful for some? I think it pays more than for plasma, as I think it's a much longer session?
Anybody here ever donate plasma or bone marrow and have major regrets and complications?
